Categorization involves organizing & grouping financial transactions into different categories depending on the nature, purpose, or type of the transaction. The solution categorizes transaction data based on predefined criteria to streamline financial reporting. Categorized transactions help individuals, businesses and even financial institutions manage and handle their finances since this process gives better clarity, perspective & insight into where money is being spent, coming from, or transferred.

The transaction classification display contains the following components:

Transaction categories. Transactions are grouped by category
Transaction data. Clicking on a category at the lowest level of granularity reveals the individual transactions themselves.
The total income or expenditure, in the designated currency, for that category.
The percentage contribution by that category to the total income or expenditure across the whole account/user.
